Upgraded a Lenovo Thinkpad T60 notebook with ATI x1300 integrated graphics (CPU: Core2Duo 2Ghz; Memory: 3 GB). After the upgrade the system won't display any image any external monitor. System does recognize the monitor (displaying model and manufacturer info), but the screen just remains black.

The laptop display works fine, including Areo. (switching off Aero doesn't solve the issue).
ATI doesn't officially support the x1300 for Win7, but the Vista driver is supposed to work fine)

System is running ATI driver 8.561.0.0 (auto install by Windows update)
BIOS upgraded to lastest version

Flat out of ideas... any help greatly appreciated.
