Low Dedicated Video RAM

So I have a laptop with 2,2 GB video memory. And ingame only 512mb is used, and as it says on Can You Run It, only 512 mb of dedicated video RAM... how can i make this like.. 1 GB? Would it at least help at something? Please help.

As for using it, all things considering that is the last thing you want to happen as it can and will cause slowdowns as it won't be as fast as the dedicated memory on the video card. The only way to go from 512 MB of memory on the card to 1 GB is to buy a card that has 1 GB on it.
