Hi!

I have a little problem with a Windows Notification.

Every few seconds, on the far right side of the taskbar, windows keeps popping up a little window saying:

"low disk space (you are running out of disk space on ...)"

i read several solutions, the most common one seems to be disabling it in this location in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore

i looked for it but i found that folder nowhere. i found only a folder called "associations" in it. there is no folder called "explorer". this is weid because in every tutorial i read there was a reference to this specific folder.

i have a legally bought copy of windows 7 home premium oem version. it is not pirated in any way.

please help this little window is driving me crazy!

thanks in advance,
jakab.

Hi and welcome

You could just use the disk cleanup wizard to del temp files and give you more room. failing that there is and adjustment as to when windows notifies you.

What drive does the low disk space message refer to? A common cause of low disk space messages is storing data/backups on a small recovery partition that's mostly full to begin with.
