Hi

I just installed Windows 7 x64 build 7100, and im having some performance issues in games. Especially World of Warcraft.

On my other harddrive im running XP x64 and im normally having around 60 FPS (due to vsync). However after installing Windows 7 my FPS dropped to 25-30.

Here is my system specs:
Asus P5Q Deluxe (Intel P45 chipset)
Intel E8400 @ 3,8 Ghz.
4Gb ram.
Nvidia 8800GT
WD VelociRaptor 150gb Harddrive (Windows 7)
WD Raptor 70gb harddrive (windows xp)

I have tried to install the newest beta drivers from nvidia's site, and i have tried to install the Vista drivers fro the chipset. And nothing works.

Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

Did you looked at the settings in Nvidia, i experienced low fps cause the standard Nvidia settings were optimized for power savings.

Your comparing Windows XP and Windows 7 online gaming performance. Windows 7 fails in terms of online gaming; its network stack has only gotten more contorted since XP.

It may not be the most objective of research papers, however it is fundamentally correct.
