No, it's quick in general. I don't see any difference from the time who it had normal score.

Totally disreguard WEI... it has little to no practical use, other than as a marketing tool, and certainly not as a trouble shooting tool, as you have now discovered... You are happy with your performance, and thats what counts .. not a number! :D

Score results from earlier versions nothwithstanding, it is reasonable to conclude that your score is 5.9 because you only have 3GB. WEI gives a preference to quantity over quality of RAM.

Outside of any marketing considerations, the WEI score reflects how well your system should support the version of Windows 7 that you have installed. You have a 64-bit version with less than 6GB (on the i7 processor).

Your score is appropriate.

Xmm, that's it! Two builds before I had 32bit and it was 7.5-7.6. In RTM I installed 64bit (who eat a little more ram).

Good news because they had the higher score a few months ago... :p

They have been adjusting the WEI system from build to build.

Basically your RAM performance has stayed the same throughout - how the WEI calculates and what rating it receives has not.

As others have mentioned, the WEI is essentially useless ;)

Thank you. That is absolutely correct. I really wish that Microsoft would have left that out of Vista and Windows 7. For most people who buy a prebuilt system...their components will be working and no problem. For those, who build their own computers...they are going to run their own benchmark utilities, so the WEI is really pointless.

Sachin:

The gist of this thread is that the WEI scores may be useless because Microsoft is changing the scale from build to build.

In what way is your system not performing as you think it should?

Suppose the gas gauge in your car reads 4000 cc remaining.

You park the car and go to sleep. While you are asleep, someone changes your gas gauge. You go out to the car the next morning. The gas gauge says you have 4 liters of gas.

How much gas did you lose?

You went from 4000 to 4 on the gauge.

You lost no gas. You can drive as far with 4 liters as you can with 4000 cc of gas.

Low RAM score problem solved...actually the concept is that if your usable Ram is less than 4GB...then win 7 64 bit limits score to 5.9 irrespective of the any ram you use(ddr3 or ddr2 etc)...

I disabled my onboard graphics from "BIOS and not from Device manager" which solved the problem....now my usable ram is 4094 MB as shown in task manager and i have regained my original rating ... as it was in win 7 32 bit...
Thanks for your support dude. . . .

Listen,
The WEI is just one more point of reference.

To the THREAD,
You use a X58 chipset with mobo, it uses QPI no? Theres a relationship between ram MHz and cpu MHz. If you just chose to set cpu at 3.2MHz, then you also adjusted the ram. Go into BIOS and look at all the current settings.
I too use an X58, as well as 1333 MHz ram.
My BIOS:
cpu multiplier=21
BCLK=183
ram ratio 8/2
This gives me a cpu at 3.8MHz and ram at 1466MHz. stable
WEI memory subscore 7.8

At cmd prompt type>winsat mem.
My new puter 20,XXXmb/s
