m4a785-m onboard HDMI

hey guys, just a quick question.

my new motherboard has hdmi out, and i want to take advantage of it.
my monitor doesnt have hdmi in though, only has dvi.

If i got a DVI to hdmi cable, should i technically be able to watch things in an HD system?

im not sure how HD works with computers... so forgive my ignorance.

Yup. Just no sound and depending on the cable, maybe not the perfect resolution.
