Making Computer Faster

Hey people,
just a curious question. I know there are tons of tips and ways to improve your computer speed.
Im wondering what some of them may be. I dont want to upgrade processer, ram, none of that. Just wanting to know some handy tricks to improve my PC speed. It runs fine, but you know faster is better.

You could benefit for adding RAM. 4GB of ram seems works best with 64bit.
Also some AV programs will slow down your system. I have had good luck with MSE.

Brink and I agree on the optimize Windows 7, as it is part of my post.. It is really good. Two members suggest the same. I suggest that you give it a try. Again, stay away from the fancy tweeks.

Increase the Temp.Internet Files space to 250MB.

I agree too. That's an excellent performance how-to guide.

When it comes to turning services off, do not disable superfetch as many recommend. If you don't use a homegroup, do disable the two services for that (or at least set to manual). Just remember that you turned them off.
