I d/l the free version and so far it seems to settle my Firefox browser to normal. Lately, since I did use it, I am constantly shown upon booting up a message from them saying that they have a later version. Now, I don't know if its a hacker, or legit...but if its legit, i don't know if they are referring to an update of the free version or this is their way trying to get a sale. Anyone know?

I've updated mine but mine is a paid version. Just do your self a huge favor and find this program on sale for lifetime, mine was like $17.00 it's the best investment you'll make besides a SSD drive. Paid get you a much faster scan and its worth it. Otherwise just keep saying no as I think either way your going to have a free program and regularly get asked about upgrading to a paid version.

What is the full version of your copy of Malwarebytes? As of May 29 2014 the latest version is 2.0.2. If yours is older then you should upgrade. It is best to obtain the software directly from Malwarebytes.org than from some other download site.
