Solved Manual update query 2!

Hi ThrashZone,

Need your expert opinion.


1. Installed using the 3 manual updates.

2. Ran sfc scan, as before gave corrupt file error, repaired..

3. Activated online.

4. Just to check, whether KB3181988 could fix.

5. Disconnected from internet.

6. Ran KB3181988, as standalone, ran sfc again, no integrity violation.

7. Reconnected to internet, ran check for updates, to my utter surprise, only have 39 Optional vs earlier 73, and only 38 Important, which does not have KB3181988.


My question is, did I rush to install KB3181988, should I have waited till the end OR should it have been installed before activation, after KB3125574 and before KB3172605 OR it doesn't matter? KB3181988 does not show in the 38 list of Important updates?



Shall wait to hear from you, before installing these 38 W7 Important and a few Optional one of the 39...

I would recommend all novice, newbies like me , to use this ThrashZone suggested method to install a clean bug free, W7.





Edit:

This is the best, most ideal, error free method, to clean install W7 32 bit, IMPO!

Best install of W7 till now, hope all goes well till the end.

I'd manually install it then if you use the mentioned 3 step method.
Last I would imagine would be appropriate

You mentioned last, I installed it early after activation, should it make a difference or no....I feel it shouldn't matter, but still trying to be cautious, since the install looks perfect.

Hi ThrashZone, I think you have a busy 1st day....

Anyhow am starting to update my new install of W7.
