You have some interesting errors...

I think we'd best fix the file errors first - I'll post a protocol a bit later.

I've uploaded a file - r25aa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)
Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\r25aa
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\r25aa
or
DIR E:\r25aa

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

XCOPY <drive>:\r25aa <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time)and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your SkyDrive Public folder, and post a new link

Also run a new MGADiag report, and post the result.

It's OK - the request for an MGADiag was an oversight on my part.

However - the two files didn't successfully get replaced :(

Please run the following commands, and post the results - they may show what's happened.

DIR C:\r25aa
DIR C:\Windows\Winsxs\r25aa

Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

That's why I suggested copy/paste :)

The problem is that you allowed the extraction to create an outer folder.

Please run the following commands.

RD C:\Windows\winsxs\r25aa /s /q
XCOPY C:\r25aa\r25aa C:\r25aa /I /E
RD C:\r25aa\r25aa /S /Q

Then reboot to the repair environment, and repeat the replacement instructions from the point...

"You'll have to log in with your username and password"

right through to the SFC and post the new CBS.log file

Great - there are no errors obvious in the CBS background either.

Please attempt the Updates again - one at a time.
What happens?

Hi All the updates have installed with one exception Office 2010 sp2 32 bit. But it keeps asking about the disc so i'll re do it with the disc in.
You asked me to remind you about cleanup?

Thanks for all your help, brilliant!!

(dammit! lost the connection and post as I was sending - again! - try again....)

So for so good, then :)

Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands....

TAKEOWN C:\Windows\winsxs\r25aa /A /R
ICACLS C:\Windows\winsxs\r25aa /grant Administrators:(F) /T
RD C:\Windows\winsxs\r25aa /S /Q
RD C:\r25aa /S /Q

- that should run without error (I hope) and remove the created files. Then you can delete the downloaded files and job done :)

Good luck!
