Hey, so I wasn't sure as to where this should be posted and if it's in the wrong place I am sorry anyhow.
So I am interested in a mechanical keyboard but I've not used any before and I don't have an local pc hardware places near me to go and test out different key-switches so I looked at things such as:
Max Keyboard Keycap, Cherry MX Switch, O-Ring Sampler Tester Kit

CM also have one but neither seem to be in stock when I go to view them so I am wondering do you guys know of any sites that sell a similar product? preferably within the UK(for shipping reasons)

I know Maxkeyboard also have a "pro" version but it's double the price and has a bunch of key-switches ism not really looking for.
Thanks

That is a neat gadget.

I would of liked using it before I ordered my keyboard.

The link doesn't work for me currently, but what exactly is it you are asking? I've never met anybody who took the plunge to get a mechanical keyboard who was disappointed in it. They are expensive, but they will last for a very long time, and in my opinion, are easier to type with. I went with the Max Keyboard X8 with cherry MX brown switches and it is phenomenal. I think brown are perfect for the way they feel, and sound....I would like to try some O-rings though, and see what difference it makes.

The link doesn't work any more.

What it was/is a few mechanical keys (different colors) so one could test the different feel of different colors before ordering a keyboard.

Hi silverstormz

I use a Razer Ultimate BlackWidow Mechanical Keyboard and I would not go back to a standard Keyboard :)

The main difference in the switches is sound, followed by actuation force. You'll enjoy the feel of all of them better than a regular keyboard, but the sound may be an issue. I chose Brown switches because they are middle of the road as far as sound and feel. I have heard some complaints about Red switches being too light and actuating by mistake...but that's about it. I say do some research, read/watch everything you can on Cherry MX switches, decide on one that you feel will suit you and just go for it!

I did a lot of research but you can't research the feel. That is why I think a set of test key would be great.
I do notice on normal keyboards that over a period of time the keys do get harder to push.
