Hi Folks, when I was using 2 pcs running Win7 Home Prem. 32bit, I had no trouble accessing my files if the WDTV drive was On or Off.
Now my old Laptop has been replaced with a new Win10 64bit I cant access my files even if WDTV drive is On or Off.

Hello Roderunner, where abouts are your files located? Did you mean they are on the WDTV device? Is the WDTV mapped to a drive letter? What if you re-plug the WDTV into one of your old win7 PC's - then do the files show up?

Hi iko22, my files are stored on 1 of 2 possible USB HDDs attached to the WDTV Live.
WDTV.JPG
The drive is connected to my Network Wirelessly, and to my TV using an HDMI cable.
I have tried to get an answer on other forums plus searching Google.
My last bit of info was to turn off password sharing in all Networks in Win10. It worked.
I then did the same on my Win7 32bit PC before posting this, it also worked.
I am now on my Win10 pc a few hours after disabling password sharing, I tried to access my drive but it failed.
Half way through printing this post, I tried it again and it now works. Must be some sort of delayed action.
Thank for trying iko22.
