Media Server My Computer=Choppy, His computer=Fine

Was not sure if this was a Windows media Question or not. Forgive me if i am posting in the wrong section.

Like the title says, when streaming video from my computer onto the PS3, the videos feeze for a few seconds and then continue over and over. i guess you would call this "choppy". However, when videos are streamed from my roommates computer, they play just fine.

When googling this problem, all i got was WiFi vs Wired solutions. But i don't understand why it would work for my roommates computer and not mine if we are both using wifi....

it puzzles me.

I tested it wis 3 video files. a regular quality video, a 720, and a 1080. All three worked fine coming from his computer. When streaming them from my computer, the regular quality was fine, the 720 played but had a lot of freezing/unfreezing spats, the 1080 wasn't playable. It was too choppy

No everything else internet related works fine. This happened at my last house too except i was sing Playstation Media Server. I always thought it was a PMS problem which is why i decided to try WMP this time. But i am having the same issue.
