so ok.. now i am in dead end.. i think i´ve tried everything what i could but nothing helps


please people tell me what am i doing wrong

Hey adis sorry for your dilema. I ran into the same issue for my dragon ball series. I had to manually put backdrop.jpg and folder.jpg files in each episode folder to get rid of the blue icons. Unfortunately some tv series' metadata can be pulled, while some cannot. It is kind of luck of the draw on the series you want matadata for. My boondocks suffered the same issue. I think (not sure), version 2 of yammm will address these kinds of issues. Hope this sheds some light on your situation. As to your IMDB issue for media center master, when the app ask for the id#, simply go to imdb.com, and type in the movie in question. when imdb finds it, look in the address bar and you will see a string of characters that contain two letters and some numbers. It might look something like this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0409459/ observe red bold string (I made it easy for you to recognize). That is the id and link for watchmen. Hope this helps.
Oh one other thing, it seems your naming convention of your folders maybe wrong, that is why MCM cannot provide metadata for your anime movies. If anime movies is a folder, then that is too vague to find metadata for. It seems anime movies is a parent folder, then all other sub folders need to be actual names of anime movies eg anime movies\ninja scroll, with ninja scroll being the name of an actual anime movie. In that case MCM would look for metadata for ninja scroll and not anime movies. I attached a screenshot of how you need to setup your folder scan for MCM, because looking at your screenshot, they seem to be setup wrong.

I already found out that i have to looking for this NO on imdb.com.
And also found out that some of my series (Big Bang Theory,Lost ...) havent metadata.
Also my icons in menu are ok - just swich on PC this morning and they are already there

Anyway i want to ask - is there any other database where can i download metadata instead of dvdxml.com ?????

and my other question - i think that i have to follow picture size of cover which i´d like to put in MB am i right? Some of my cover are really nice - with black edges and some aren´t.

Not sure of any other site that you can manually download metadata, I just rely on yammm or MCM to do that for me. As for your picture issue, I use the stark cover application to take care that for me as well. Demonseed would also be a better source to help you solve that issue. I am more of a tech or programmer guy, he is big on graphics and such.

Media Browser does that quite well. Media center master does a great job as well. You just need to make sure you enter the correct path in the programs.

Hey guys the movie db website is down, how are you all getting metadata in the mean time. With the site being down, MCM can even scrape metadata. It is only able to get synopsis, but no images.

I think my ISP is blocking it, not sure why. No computer in my house can access that site. No I know why MCM cannot get my images

use a proxy server to access the site. That should get around your isp blocking it.

Yeah I thought about that, but that won't help MCM pull metadata.

Does anyone know how to implement proxy server settings into MB or MCM? I know there is a way to add proxy server settings to dotnet framework, but it is complicated. I thought someone might have a clear cut method, other than the one outlined here Take the Burden Off Users with Automatic Configuration in .NET I thought that autoconfig tool offered would automatically apply the settings, it did not. It was a folder with some java script codes etc. I don't know why I am blocked from themoviedb.org. if I use a proxy site, I can access it, outside of that, no dice. So MCM, and MB are not pulling any metadata.

Zay I passed this along to my gurus and one of them had this to say.

"for media center you either have to setup a proxy in WMP or Internet Explorer. by default WMP points to the IE proxy settings. In MB itself there are no options but I assume it would just follow IE proxy settings"

I'm going to assume you know what he's talking about and know what to do. If not, he would like you to go to the CT and post your problem there so it might help others.

Thanks DS, yes I know what he means, but in order to do that I have to know a proxy server and it settings. I tried using the IP of one of the free proxy sites, but that did not work. I will contine to seek a solution.

Well I tried and tried, but no luck. I edit my IE settings to use a proxy server, MCM connects to themoviedb.org, but then an error is generated, (I think it times out). I even built my own proxy web server Zay's Proxy Server but that did not help. I will keep trying.

I have started to use the theme Simplicity for MediaBrowser and I have to say it's great! However just this small thing is bothering me so much. When I try to mark a show as watched under MediaBrowser with this theme applied no tick appears on the show or episode? Any ideas why?

Simplicity is a incomplete theme and looks like it may be that way for some time.
The author has been MIA for some time now and no sign of when he may return.

Thanks for the heads up DemonSeed. Is there a way to modify the theme to allow it to mark shows as being watched? If not, is there a similar theme for MediaBrowser that has the same kind of look which has the feature of being able to mark shows as watched?
