I've tried to install the TV Pack 2008 64 on my clean Windows 7 x64, But it gives me a "The update is not applicable to your computer". Has anyone been successful with this configuration?

This tuner card worked fine in XP using WinTV. I have Comcast cable and used QAM successfully.

I'm new to Media Center so I may be missing somethine but I've taken the following steps:
1) Clean install of Windows 7 x64
2) Installed MCE version of my TV Tuner drivers
3) downloaded "MediaCenterTVPack2008-KB953272-x64.msu
4) Selected file to install

I haven't found this error message in any other searches.

I thought this was already built in to this build.

I don't think so... at least I haven't found that it is anywhere and it didn't detect the QAM channels.

Also, it's a .msu file, is there a way to run that in compatibility mode?

7MC is supposed to have every feature of TV Pack already. Something must be going on in the box to prevent QAM in your hardware. Might want to check out The Green Button, see if any other QAM user is having a problem.

Issue Resolved

After much research I got the 1250 to work by:
  1. Delete current driver
  2. Run Hwclear
  3. Reboot
  4. Let W7 update driver
  5. Apply FIJI Regedit from Hauppauge for 1250
  6. Reboot
  7. Run WMC
Thanks everyone for your help
