Memory leak - atkexcomsvc

I decided to post this as it might help others... I haven't solved it yet but .. who knows.

I have a ASUS Sabertooth mobo, overclocked. Performance-wise it runs fine.. high spec's. I used standard ASUS AI II software to set and check stuff like temps. Also works fine. But that software comes with a memory leak in atkexcomsvc.

I've now de-installed and am going to check other versions + contact ASUS if needed.

I'd be happy to hear of others with similar experience or maybe even a solution/correct version?

Apparently a known problem. There is mention of a patch (cannot confirm the ftp address works)

I know that there is alot of issues with that MB. Asus is offering a free replacement to rev. 3 of the Intel Sabertooth just to let you know. My friend had that board when it first came out had 6 RMA's with asus and they upgraded him to a new MB and refunded the shipping for 4 of the RMA's. Now it seems that Asus have fixed what issues it had.

which software does install this process?

which software does install this process?

If you want to rid yourself of these you need to go into TASK SCHEDULER and kill it from there once you do that it's smooth sailing never to see that error message again that's if you have issues with AI suite when it's uninstalled
