Hi everyone,

My main windows (system) partition is out of space. I have another partition on the same disk that I would like to merge with. However, Windows Disk Management does not let me do that. Or maybe I do not know how to do it? Or maybe it can be done via 'diskpart'?

Anyways, my harddisk is setup as follows:

Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
Volume 0 D DVD-ROM 0 B No Media
Volume 1 F Backup NTFS Partition 465 GB Healthy
Volume 2 H Backup NTFS Partition 931 GB Healthy
Volume 3 C System7 NTFS Partition 200 GB Healthy System
Volume 4 G Win7Test NTFS Partition 97 GB Healthy
Volume 5 E Documents NTFS Partition 931 GB Healthy

My final aim is to merge volume 3 & 4 wiping of volume 4 data. Both volumes/partitions are on the same physical hard drive and both are marked as primary partition.

Anything I can do?

Thanks!

formatting G: leaving it as Unallocated, then click on C: and extend the partition should do it.

Windows Disk Management doesn't "merge" partitions.

If you want to extend C, you would need to get rid of G.

What's on G right now? If it's data you want to keep, move it elsewhere, such as to E.

Ok, gonna get rid/format of G: and then extend C:

I'll report back in a bit.
