I'm using the latest version of Messenger but it keeps logging off
after +/- 10min of inactivity of messenger while I keep using the pc.

I tried uninstalling it with revo uninstaller but the problem is still there

Anybody knows another workaround this annoying problem ?

MSN messenger? Get pidgin multi messenger or mebo. They will run anything. Pretty light weight. I use pidgin and its nice but you need plugins for alot of things. It has great compatibilty with msn users. My friend was drawing in the chat and it picks it up perfectly.

With me it is not Messenger that loses its connection, it is IE8. A real headache when this happens repeatedly in quick succession during a browsing session
