I notice you dident take any issue that people always had a choice in browsers did you...no, because they always did hava a choice but the almighty EU got a hair up their collective behinds and decided they needed some more cash.

You really misunderstand my position in the whole MS-EU business. Apart from a small poke in some other thread here or there i am neutral. MS is just another company, putting out a product that by definition centers to the largest common denominator being mostly clueless desk jockeys tapping dreary stuff in some spreadsheet or word processor.

So i actually don't care, but i feel an inner need to help those who have not had the pleasure of a good general education.

So i just state the facts, as they are. If EU is right or wrong, i am unqualified to judge. I just am quite interested in the whole EU mess in general and follow it closely. MS is just a minor issue in view of the enormous powerplays from which the EU committee on Competition has protected me.

Proud user of Firefox 3.5 here and everyone I know (or almost) uses Firefox.

You FF guys are starting to sound like the apple commercials LOL. " Everyone I know" LOL. Honestly, do you think everyone you know is so much smarter than us stupid IE users LOL. What a joke man.

I won't get into the insults to IE and all it's users that seem to plauge this forum on a daily basis.

All I get from that is that FF users seem to think they are better than everyone else which sounds amazingly similar to those stupid apple commercials.

Get over yourselfs FF users, you aren't special and you never will be.

Rant over, sorry FF users you had it coming for a long time now and I know I'm not the only one who is sick of the slams about IE coming from you all. I don't slam FF so why do you all feel compelled to slam IE? It's time shut off the apple commercials already.

I just want to make something very clear:
- I do not criticize people based on what computer, OS or software they use, nor have I ever criticized.
- I do not say, write or think, that if somebody is not using the same computer, OS or software than I, he is stupid. Nor have I ever so said, written or thought

I believe this is a free world; everybody can buy and use whatever they want. I told earlier hier I use Firefox. I use it NOT because it makes me feel superior, I simply use it because I like it. I didn´t tell it because I think somebody is stupid, I told it because this topic is in my opinion very interesting.

I´ve read this thread very carefully, but I have not found any posts where a non-IE user calls IE-users stupid. This is a public forum with over 18,000 members; it´s obvious there are many different opinions among the members.

Yes it does, we dont need yet another FF vs IE argument thread here... Everyone has their own personal preference's and chioce about the products they use :sarc:

I use both IE and FX and only had to use IE when FX craps out, go figure :huh:

Let us not judge everyone (in this case, 'FF users') by comments made by others. I use firefox and I do not go around flaunting it or saying how its better. I do say why I prefer it more though.

i'm not from EU, but my country is trying to get excepted by that same EU (but i don't know why, 'couse i think, and the most of my country mates agrees that EU is a peace of sh.. no offence to anybody but Europe was much better place to live before this EU...), but let's leave politics sidewards

Yes you better leave politics aside cause you have no crasp of history!

Offcourse the EU is a bureaucratic monster, but it has brought economic prosperity and stabilty in the region.

And btw I am very happy with this solution.
