It installed fine for me. Did you disable/uninstall your current antivirus before trying to install it? I doubt it would cause a conflict with the instillation but it's a possibility.

Anyone else having the definition update moving along at a crawling speed? It's been 'updating' for a good twenty minutes now. :/

Nothing else is using my bandwidth, so I don't see why it's going so slow.

My thoughts exactly! I also have downloaded and have it running on one of my other machines. I personally like it very much, when its finished will ditch AVG for it.

20 minutes into it and it decides to tell me I'm not connected to the Internet and to try again later. It also suggests that if I have a 'pending restart' that it might be causing the issue, but I have nothing requiring a restart at the moment.

I clicked on the update button again and it took all of half a second to tell me that my definitions are up-to-date.

Its the first day of its release, everyone is updating the official version.

I thought it was my wifi committing suicide again but glad to know it was the server.

Quick Scan took 10 minutes and some seconds. It didn't find anything, but that was expected.

so far impressed, ran on one SITE known to be infected, and Morro found, deleted and allowed me to access site. This site, I will not mention the name. but Author is proud that he has bypassed even know AV AM going, and could if he want infect every PC.

Windows Defender is a Firewall though, MSE is an anti-virus/anti-malware.
