Solved Microsoft website won't validate Win7 Key. How can I get the ISO?

I bought Windows 7 from Digital River back in 2010. I saved the key and had a DVD with the ISO burned on it, but lost the DVD in a move.

I now want to do a clean install on my computer as it's accumulated a lot of cruft. When entering my cd key into https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows7, it reports that there is an error with it.

I don't have access to the digital river account and don't have access to the email address I probably used with it.

Is there an official way to download it from Microsoft without having to resort to third party sites? Especially with the recent ransomware attacks, I'm really wary.

mmmmm digitalriver payment scheme have been taken over by another company so probally your details wouldnt be logged with them try to get a bank statement if you can and see the record transcation and phone there hotline i cant think of any other way possible avoid warez cracks bootloaders they ruin your system!!!

I figured it out! I was able to run [ProduKey](ProduKey - Recover lost product key (CD-Key) of Windows/MS-Office/SQL Server) from NirSoft and recover my key, which for some reason was different than the one I had saved. Not sure what happened there, but I was able to download the ISO file and go from there. Thanks everybody!
