Just to share my experience with an almost full "clone" of my old laptop to a new one using Laplink.
It worked flawlessly, transferring everything except the OS. So unlike a cloning app, the new OS remains, which might be beneficial if you want some of the diagnostic apps, etc that are particular to your new PC; it also did not migrate the unnecessary manufacturer apps from the old PC.
Although obviously the motherboards and hardware were different (new SSD vs old HDD), everything seems to have been adapted as needed. The whole process took about 7hrs for 170 GB.
I give it 5 stars even though it is not free, but the Pro version is discounted now. You can use the free version but it does not copy applications.
