"Missing" icons in W7 x64

As the title says, it's been like this ever since I uninstalled a theme and icon package (7CONIFIER) that had been giving me error messages on boot.

Since then, ive deleted the IconCache.db, re/downloaded 7CONIFIER and IconPackager to use their restore functions.

Ive also tried pinning/unpinning to the taskbar, this works and the original icon is restored until I close it or right-click it where it just goes back to the blank white icon.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello ever1se

Firstly run this up to 3 separate times rebooting between each run or until it returns an error free result - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Then re run this and reboot - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/49819-icon-cache-rebuild.html

Report back when done

Regards Danny

Sorry for the late reply, i've been away for a while.

I ran the scan through cmd twice before it came back with an error free result, then I ran it again to be sure. After that I tried to rebuild my icon cache which failed because there was no IconCache.db at the time, I restored my IconCache by changing the color settings through the monitor settings tab.

Aaaaand, still no luck, icons are still blank white pages.

Ok run the file scan again again then reboot and rebuild the icon cache again and reboot. That should do it really. If not,
Do you have a restore point to before you installed the icon packager?
Do you have a windows 7 disk?
Did you make and backups of the system files?
