I wanted to burn some of my music from the media player and discovered that all my music is no longer there. I found all the music on the computer but when I click on any of the songs or albums, it says folder is empty. I don't know the workings of a computer but I'll try to follow instructions if given. Thank you.

Actually its better to use a CD Burning program, such as the free CDBurnerXP. Make "Audio CD's" if you want to play on any audio CD player (burn at slowest speed your burner will burn at). If you make MP3's, not all players can play MP3's.

With CDBurnerXP, you just "drag" whatever songs you want to burn to a CD from a folder.

Thank you but what I'm talking about is all the music that I had saved on the media player from cd's that I once owned and no longer have. They have disappeared and I can't find them. When I click on Music, all the music I had on the media player are listed but I can't make them play as it says my library doesn't have any music or the folders are empty.

Your original post suggests the songs are still on the PC just not in Windows Media Player, which can be the case.
Just use the Windows Explorer and access the folder(s) with the music and see if anything is actually there.

Unfortunately, if they are empty there is no way to recover except to rip the CD's again.
