Missing Operating System

A week ago I turned on my computer, it started booting up and I got the message "Missing operating system." I used level 2 of Spinrite 6, which seemed to work fine but did not solve the problem. Using my Windows 7 installation disk, I got to the command prompt X:\sources and then did the following:
c:
The volume does not contain a recognized file system.
d:
The volume does not contain a recognized file system.
diskpart
select disk 0
list part
Partition ### Type Size Offset
Partion 1 Primary 100mb 1024kb
Partion 2 Primary 223mb 101mb
select vol c
Volume 1 is selected volume
Detail part
Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
Volume 1 C Raw Partition 100mb Healthy
ditto for selecting volume d to get the following:

Volume 2 D Raw Partition 223gb Healthy



Suggestions would be appreciated. I do not have a backup of the SSD drive. While it would not be a major disaster if I had to reformat the drive and do a clean install, I'd prefer making a good effort to recover the data. I have limited computer knowledge. Thanks.

Your partitions are showing up as Raw, it may be too late, but you could try a Live version of Linux.

I have no experience with Linux or Testdisk. Which would be easier if both would be equally effective. Thanks.

You could try the bootable version of partition wizard free.

Boot it up, select partition recovery.Quick search will be fine. When it has listed the possible partitions , tiick all you want and click Apply.
