I am trying to connect a secondary monitor to my desktop.
Both are using VGA, Primary is connected to my NVIDIA (latest drivers) video card,
the Secondary (with no display) is connected to my onboard display,

Im pretty sure that the secondary display is active and working; my system detects it and has it as an active display, i can change its settings, and can move my mouse cursor off my primary to the secondary.
I have even changed around the BIOS settings to no avail.

1920x1080 is the primary resolution
1024x768 WAS the secondary and i tried its highest resolution of 1600x1200 but no success.
My video card has 1 output, VGA.
My primary is using VGA (It has HDMI but i do not have a cord for it nor does my pc have the connector for it).
My Secondary is strictly VGA only.
As I said before, it seems my secondary is working, just no display (and yes there is power to it).
If there is a way i can make this work without buying anything it would be great.

BTW, my Primary is a 26" flat screen Westinghouse.
My Secondary is a 16"? Compaq monitor

Please help.
If any Specs are needed to help understand my situation, please ask, im sure i can find them for you.

Thanks

Installing a video card usually disables the onboard graphics. You use one or the other. I'd suggest getting a dual (or more) output card. If you're not a gamer it won't break the bank. Check that the new card supports 2 monitors before purchase.

BanannaMann,

You might want to focus on one thing at a time. I've noticed a number of your threads seem to be concerned with monitors and GPUs (did you put the fire out on the one?)

More threads don't always equate to more help - most of the time more threads on similar issues only result in more confusion.

Take your time and focus on one thread. Then members can see suggestions made by other members and work off the list of things to try.

Good luck finding answers to all of the issues in your threads.

Ok, I have a few problems if you're up to taking on a few more :)
Oh wait, the other voice in my head is telling me to be quiet, we don't need a BananaMann in here too.:p

Ten computers! You need another house.

I'm out, have fun.
