hi all.

i am trying to get my home server system to sleep when its not in use and having some issues.

i have set the display timeout in the power options to 1 min, but it simply dosent turn off the display. i am using a Kogan 27" display through DVI and a Viewsonic 24" display through DVI. i have been trying to get all the sleep functions to work for the system aswell, but having trouble with the monitor and the sleep after time,. but for now i just want to get the monitor sorted.

acording to all i have read, everything should be set right. but i dont know if it logs anything in the event viewer as to why the monitor wont sleep. is there perhaps a log i can check?

have also done some trouble shooting and trying other things.

the computer also will not enter screen saver mode. i have it set to 1 min and after 5, still nothing.

i have a logitech BT mouse and keyboard. i have set that to not wake the computer, and same for the network. and in the back i have nothing plugged in except for power, fibre optic audio, ethernet and monitors. i have also tried removing the usb BT adapter to eliminate that, and it still wont enter screen saver or display off.

got me stumped.
