Morro impressions? and leeked availability?

Im looking for some intial impressions from those of you with the leaked Morro from Microsoft (their new anti-virus)

Also would like to know if anyone has a link to the torrent for the x64 version?!

Microsoft Morro is lightweight, has a simple and intuitive user interface and gives basic protection just like any other anti-malware suites do. If you are going to go for any anti-malware suite, this should be the one. Morro has been warmly welcomed and has received many excellent reviews from trusted sites.

It totally rocks and you can even run scans while doing your work without caring as long as you have a computer with over about 1GB RAM. Unless you are looking for full feature security suites, I seriously advice you to go for this. Because it uses the same engines as Microsoft Forefront Client Security, it can definitely be trusted and relied upon.

I like it. I wouldn't use it as my only anti virus but it is lightweight and uses few system resources. Its a little bit difficult to tell it to ignore a file, and the only way to stop it is to force kill the process.
Another problem is changing the default re-action to a severe threat. You are only given 3 options.

Morro also plays well with others. I am running Morro with ESET smart security and Avast and they co-exist nicely.

As for links to 64 Im sure someone has it but I dont since im 32bit

Could you tell me if it is a FULL systemwide replacement for AVAST PRO? Im looking for a complete Spyware, Malware, and Antivirus System.

Should I just stick with Avast for this? Sounds like this might do one of them not all of them..

Spyware is just as bad as viruis anymore.

Morro is a good lite antivirus solution. It is still beta (till at least noon today) but Im not going to keep it. I am going to stay with avast and ESET. Morro is a good choice for someone not using anything but avast is better. You could run both none of the three I am running has complained even once.

I like it, it doesnt use much resources and spotted all the files that nod32 flagged (these files are old items that I no longer install but dont want to remove either).

I installed a leaked Morro on my latest HTPC. It installed and updated nicely after performing its validity check of Windows 7 RC1. Morro is supposed to be a light-weight virus package. I'm not totally sure what that means - it either catches viruses, malware and such, or it doesn't. They talk about how it's recommended for netbooks with their limited resources. This new HTPC of mine is based on a ZOTAC ION dual-core Atom motherboard. So it's like a big netbook with its dual-core CPU and 4GB of RAM. I happened to install a Hauppauge 1950 tuner box after the Morro installation. I downloaded a fresh CD image of the driver package in ZIP form. It took an excruciatingly long time to unZIP it. I had done this before on another HTPC with a Q8200 Quad-core and the AVG virus package and it didn't struggle quite so much. Morro specifically checks all files as they are unZIPped for malware and viruses. Most commendable. I looked for and did not find a quick and easy way to temporarily disable the real-time virus scanner.

One other thing about morro. They dont give you an opt out of MS spynet. Its either basic or advanced info being sent to M$.

I'm using Morro and it seems ok so far. Its a bit slow to update and Ive even set it off, so it does work ( by using something that i shouldn't have been using lol .)

Nice UI and simple to use, but no option to auto-update as far as i can see ?. I'm using Malwarebytes and Threatfire pro as well and they all get along so far.

I was using Avast Pro before but if Morro performs like it is i will stick with it.

Under the scheduled scan, you can tell it to update before the scheduled scan. Since I have it set to scan daily, it will update daily.
