Brand new computer, Windows 7 Home Premium (replacing an earlier Windows 7 Home Premium computer)
I find that when I move the scroll-wheel on my mouse, or click on something, occasionally there is a lag in time before the action happens (although most of the time there is no lag).
Specifically, I am not seeing the lag moving the mouse left, right, up or down. However, sometimes, I will move the scroll wheel, expecting the browser window or other application window to scroll almost immediately. Sometimes, the window doesn't scroll for 3-4 seconds, and then scrolls the expected amount.
Similarly, on occasion, I will click on something in my browser or other application, and a similar lag appears, where the action doesn't happen until 3-4 seconds after the click.
And then most of the time, it works properly.
The mouse I am using worked properly on my previous computer. To check the possibility that the mouse itself is the problem, I fired up a wireless bluetooth mouse, and the same behavior was observed with the bluetooth mouse.
Please advise me on how to fix this issue.
