Moving Photo's in Windows Photo Gallery

Is there any way I can move one picture in photo gallery to another position well away from the original position.Tried copy and paste but that failed to work.

Depends upon what you mean by "position". If wanting to keep a photo in the same Folder you could give it a slightly different name, again depending upon the naming scheme in use. Can't put 2 or more files [photos/images are files] of the exact same name in the same Folder, have to be named slightly different by at least one character or put in a subFolder of where it's at now.

I have my photo's three in a row in photo gallery and wish to move one photo down say fourteen rows,how do I do that?.

Hi as far as I know you would need to rename the file to arrange them any differently,
Assuming your sorting by name that is ;)
Right click a blank spot on the page and refer to options,
