Hi. In my computer I use my photo gallery a lot. I also have a few external hard drives that I use. These pictures show up in my all photos and video part of my gallery. I have over 60,000 pictures in this particular part of the photo gallery. I realize that I have many external hard drives where these pictures appear from.

My question is can I remove some of these pictures? I have ie 25 pictures that are the same.
Can I safely remove these excess pictures? Where do the excess pictures go..to the recycle bin?
Does it effect my external hard drives?

I am sorry that there are a lot of things to answer, but I feel that these xtra pictures are taking up to much computer space.

Thank you for any help.

Auslogics Duplicate File Finder, simple and safe. You can remove them permanently or send them to the Recycle Bin. After that, if the collection is still too big, put them on DVDs or CDs or external HD, as long as you can access them. You might also need some way of indexing them.

Auslogics will also find duplicate system files, so make sure you're not tossing any of those. When you open it, do the Settings in the menu. Make sure System Folders are in the ignore list. Then specify "Images" at the bottom of the screen.

:DIt's a miracle! I don't know where the duplicate pictures went. Maybe the solar eclipse had something to do with it.
Thanks again for your help!
