What's the problem? Can't you copy files to external device as backup?

Just copy my documents, my pictures and so on. Just anything you want to keep.

to reinstall office 2010:
The standard way of doing this is just uninstalling the copy of Office from the current computer and—because Microsoft only gets notified of new installs/activations, not uninstalls/deactivations—then using phone activation when you've hit the activation limit permitted by your license. If you explain the situation to them, they should give you a new key to activate Office on your new computer.

Okay so I should un-install MS office before I format my hdd, copy "My documts" to my new HDD and then just start installing... I guess the trial version of MS office and then try and activate my key, explain to them whats happened and all should be fine?
