Solved MSCONFIG Boot tab disabled

Hi guys,

For some reason or another when I launch MSCONFIG.exe in win7 and select the Boot tab nothing seems to function within that tab. I tried to tick several options in the tab but none of them work. The tab preferences remain static wherever I click. I would really apprecieate some help for fixing this problem.

I'm am not familiar with this behavior.
Though as I generally suggest when a core system feature doesn't seem to be working right you can run a secure file check.

and see if that helps the issue, as a start.

Have you tried opening it via 'Run as admin' ?

Thanks for your reply friends, sfc /scannow didn't find any violations and yes I have tried running msconfig as admin. Problem still persists

Managed to fix the prob. It had to do with EasyBCD and boot configuration. I set windows7 as my primary boot drive and msconfig boot tab was restored.

go to your dos prompt and type msconfig and see if it works from there
