multiple explorer.exe is running when taskmanaer is opened

Multile explorer.exe is running when taskmanager is opeened and not abel to stop also. it keesp growing and shuts the system down as it over heats. How can we stop it from running 1000's of explorer.exe files . Need help.

Even if i login from safemode with command prompt if i open task manager . System has become very slow due to this . Please let me know a solution to stop this process .. cant download any software also as it system is not running for longer time to run and scan . Please help if i can resolve this issue from regedit or cmd only and how .
