Just a small addition: I talked to the shop, and they confirmed that they did try swapping out the memory, but were unable to replicate either of the problems I've been mentioning here (BSOD and mouse & keyboard locking up).

My laptop locked up again today (audio stalled, mouse and keyboard unresponsive), and I was playing a video on Twitch when this happened. Here's the logs.
