Hi All,
Somehow thru syncing my WM Phone and Office I have Multiple (65) occurances of my recurring appointments, on both my Outlook Calender and my Mobile Device...to fix the problem I have to go into MS Outlook Calender and Delete Each individual occurance and this is a PAIN! Is there an easier way to accomplish this? and what might have caused this to begin with?
Thanks,
Mike

I have had this problem a lot! There is a built-in method of getting rid of them:

  1. In Calendar, in the Navigation Pane, select the Calendar folder.
  2. On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click By Category.
  3. Click the Subject column heading to arrange all the calendar items by subject.
  4. Hold down CTRL while you click each duplicate calendar item in the list.
  5. When you have selected all the duplicate calendar items, press DELETE.
However, this can still be very cumbersome if you have a lot of calendar items (or contacts, or whatever). I therefore use some paid-for software called Duplicates Remover for Outlook from Mapilab. It works pretty well; not flawlessly, because occasionally Outlook falls over during startup and you have to start it again, but it finds and deals with duplicates very quickly and efficiently :)

Thanks...That simplified things a LOT....BTW in step 4 instead of holding down CTRL, you can just click the top one then scroll down to the last one you want to delete and Hold Shift then click and it will select all the ones in between...it makes it a lot quicker then having to select each one!

Thanks Again,
Mike
