Hello, I have a HP Pavilion dv3 and last week, when I tried to boot it, an error made windows failing start. The status is 0xc000000f. Since then, I have tried everything: /bootrec commands, boot fix...
Is there a last hope to fix it before complete recovery?
Thanks

did you try booting to Repair options with the w7 install disk? Have you created a system recovery disk?

Hello, thanks for help but it didn't work, it did a "Failure when attempting to copy boot files" I tried a "bcdboot" command repare but I'm not sure I did what I needed (I followed an Internet tutorial) and now, when I try to boot, I get a "A disk read error occured
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" in a loop

I tried that and now, I still have the disk read error at startup but the windows that were popping up when boot on install disk and telling me 4 times that my /boot and /temp were corrupted and it is able to find my system on the stage just after language selection

What message did the Disk Check program give you? Are the /boot and /temp error messages still occurring?

Did you use the following Command in Command Prompt?

chkdsk C: /F /R

I just try the command you gave me and it told me that "windows has checked the file system and found no problem"
Also, the error messages aren't occurring anymore.

So what is the computer doing now, where it would have the error messages before?

You have marked this thread as solved, so is the computer booting normally and the operating system behaving correctly?

No, still a disk read error at startup but when I try the boot repair on the install disk it solves an error and I get the corrupted boot again, solvable by the same solution as before.

Before, I just had to click ok and error message disappeared. Now, I don't see them anymore.

Boot your win 7 repair cd and try this:

bcdboot x:\windows /s c:

bcdboot x:\windows / s d:

bootsect /nt60 all /mbr

When I try the first two commands, it told me
"BFSVC: Failed to open handle to resume object. Status = [c0000034]"

On the last one, it didn't succeed on "G: <\\?\Volume{35cab553-1d81-11e2-9440-806e6f6e6963}>"
Telling "Could not open the volume root directory: The parameter is incorrect"
Same for \Device\HardDiskVolume3
For \??\Physicaldrive1 it says "Could not prepare disk(s) for update:
The device is not ready."

Try the copy/paste method, spaces are important.

Sorry but all of your methods failed. I have done a backup with the integrated software of my hp install disk but I don't know how to do a clean backup in recovery mod without DVD. Any solutions?
