My Computer either Freezes, Reboots, or BSoDs once a day.

Hello, Please move this thread if it's in the wrong section, sorry.

Anyways, every time after school, I turn on my computer and grab something it eat. Between 5 minutes and 30 minutes of it being started up, my computer freezes, or reboots or BSoDs. This has been happening for the past few weeks already. 1/3 of the time, my computer either Freezes twice, or Freezes, then BSoDs 5-30 minutes after turned on. Today, my computer Froze, Froze again, then BSoD.

Description of the freezes, bsod, reboots:

Freezes:
Everything completely freezes. When playing music, the music would stop. Mouse stops working, nothing works.
I can hold my turn off button on the pc box, and it would turn off.

Reboots:
Without warning, my PC would completely shut down and start back up. Screen turns black then would turn on normally.

BSoDs:
Instant BSoD, then quickly reboots. Sometimes the message is half the screen long, sometimes it's full.

Hardware problem? Software problem? Virus?

I had a similar problem a few years back with my machine. After school, I'd always come home to a BSOD or a crash the moment I tell it to do something useful. I thought it was a hardware issue and went around replacing hard drives, mobos etc. I finally narrowed it down to bad RAM/overclocking skills. I replace my RAM and never had the problem again.

I'm always thinking it's my ram for some reason, but I'm not completely sure. I'll probably replace it soon.

Yeah, I'll test that tomorrow, because some guys said that checking your sound devices on device manager, and disabling the duplicates of a sound driver. So i tried that, and just waiting tomorrow if my pc crashes.

Those are not duplicates but possibly needed components of the driver. Why don't you focus on our suggestions instead of "some guys?" Then you won't have to wait to see if your PC crashes.

Ok, sorry. So today, my pc stuffed up a lot while trying to get to this site. I finally got the memtest to test my ram, and when I did it, around 15%, the status changed to something like "hardware problem detected, blah blah, manufacture, blah blah". So I waiting for a while, then I noticed it was at 25% for 30 minutes. I presssed F1, which was options, then my pc restarted.. dafuq... I opened my pc to check the ram, to see if it was out of place, or something else touching. I didn't notice anything, but I took the rams out, and put it back in. Then I checked the other components, and saw that plastic film is on my graphic card. On the film it said "Remove before use". Maybe the dude who made my PC forgot to take the film off?. I took it off, turned PC back on, and nothing wrong so far. I hardly get any computer problems around evening and later. I'll see tomorrow again if my pc does stuff up. If it does, then I'll try the memtest again.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I wrote down some errors when I got BSODs.
These errors weren't on the same bsods.
- BAD_POOL_ERROR
- PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
- ntfs.sys
these were found around the top bit of the bsod message.

I also had a look at eventviewer, and there were a lot of warnings and errors.
The times where my pc would stuff up, there would be Criticals.
Source of critical is Kernel-Power
Event ID is 41
Task Category is (63).
i have no idea what they mean

Right now, it's working fine, but the problem could happen in a few days, because a few weeks ago, it stopped for 3 days, and then occurred again. I'll report under 7 days if the problem occurs or not.

Yup, no more crashes or anything wrong. Thanks for the memtest, I wouldn't of checked my hardware anytime sooner, thanks.

You should also be monitoring your cpu temps. Use RealTemp or CPUID Hardware Monitor. Let us know if it crashes anymore and we`ll keep working on it.
