My computer is not see my External Hard drive

At first part of my hard drive was "not allocated" so I downloaded Test Disk to try to fix it. However instead of fixing it now the whole storage device is not being seen by my laptop. I'm sure it is because on test disk I clicked on no partition for the device. Can somebody help me please-I'm freaking out here

I've never had good results using Linux utilities to work on Windows filesystems.

You would probably do better using the Minitool Partition Wizard Boot CD. Download the ISO file, burn it to CD, and boot from it. That will show you what partitions and filesystems it sees on the drive. It might also allow you to restore the earlier partition(s).
