I was uninstalling a couple of programs I didn't want cluttering up my computer.

Well the computer decided to reboot and is now stuck on the very first screen:

AI
Lifestyle
P5K/EPU
Press DEL to run setup, press tab to display BIOS POST message

I've rebooted 10 times and it won't go past this screen. Even if I press del right away it runs something else different and then freezes again still.

Everything. Was fine 5 mine ago.

Please help!

What happens if you leave it at the POST splash logo? Any HDD light activity?

(Whats the 'something else' it quickly runs?)

Do you have access o the install media? (Seven disc)

if so, you should be able to boot off the disc and navigate the disc till you find the 'system restore' option.

Hopefully a simpe restore point is enough to correct whatever damage has occured.

Without knowing 'what' you deleted, it's hard to say what's caused this. It sounds like it cant find either the drive or the MBR. There'd be more info displayed under the Splash logo.

I'd also press both Keys offered to see what they yield. Full POST message may reveal hardware probs.

If not here are additional steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

I would skip the disinfection and try the repair options, then hardware tests, maybe doubling back to disinfection to try again as last resort before if necessary rescuiing your files to run Recovery or Clean Reinstall. Disk provided.

Not really sure what was going on, things seem to be working fine. It was really stuck there for a little while & had me worried.

How can I check this POST message to see what errors my computer had?

It's shown in real time with a verbose boot, as opposed to Quick Boot which most BIOS have as default. Check the Boot settings in BIOS setup.

I would also check the Win7 logs to see if it was involved, as shown in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
