My laptop become freeze !!

Hello friends ..


I have a problem with my laptop , I hope you help my .

the problem is :

when I plug an external monitor to my laptop ( to get more view ) .. the laptop become freeze suddenly and the sound of it still work , but I can't do any thing , not (ctrl+alt+del) or even move the mouse , the one option available is pick on the power button till power off , and then turn it on again .

It doesn't happen immediately , It maybe takes a little or much minutes .

why this happen ?

my laptop have 1 GB DED VGA , 4 GB RAM and Core i5



please help me

It could be any number of things, but as a guess I'd say that either your video chip was overheating or you have a bum video driver. Are you monitoring your temperatures? You might also look into how much RAM you're sharing with the video. :)

Try Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring

It can monitor your video temperature too, in most cases. That may be a problem on a laptop, though.

As for the video, that would be a BIOS setting. If you have plenty of System RAM you can allocate more of it to the video subsystem - sometimes much more.

From the specs, it looks like you have plenty of built-in video memory. I'd pursue the temperature and driver issues. If this is a brand new laptop and you have good airflow around it it shouldn't be too dirty inside. What video driver are you using?
