My laptop is stuck at Windows Resume Loader

Hi new to the forum. I have a toshiba windows 7 laptop and when i turned it on today the laptop hasn't be able to get past the Windows Resume Loader and I dont know why. I looked up the question and saw others were able to fix the problem but they didn't leave any details on how they managed to fix it and also I am not really a computer knowledgeable person so if someone could list a step by step process on how to fix the problem that would be great, thanks.

Details: I have been looking into other forums and it seems my problem is specific because the problem is on my laptop and other individuals seem to have it on desktops. Furthermore the other solution they are giving is to use another keyboard but that solution is useless because i do not have a PS/2 port on my laptop and neither do i have a keyboard which has a usb plug.

Boot into System Recovery Options to run Startup Repair. It should offer System Restore but if not boot back into the Options to run it from the list.

If this fails then work through these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

Hi greg, thank you for replying, I managed to obtain a usb keyboard laptop from a friend and I managed to log into my computer just fine. So therefore it seems that the laptop's keyboard is the problem since when i used the laptop's keyboard only.
