Windows Resume Loader issues

I accidentally discarded the logitech receiver USB that managed my wireless keyboard and mouse. Since that time I try to reboot my desktop and I get the black screen that says “windows resume loader” with two choices-1. continue with system resume or 2. delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu. Problem is, I cannot do anything because I cannot use the keyboard or the mouse even though I have replaced the receiver-but have not been able to download the driver for it yet. So all I can do is look at the screen and do nothing to get into windows. Other forums have suggested I unplug the CPU and hold down the power button for 20 seconds as a reset, but does not work for me. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lisa

Hi Llongo, welcome to Seven Forums,

Have you got an installation disc?
Have you tried a USB keyboard and mouse?

I hope this helps!

Hi Paul. Thank you for your response to my (desperate) plea! No, I dont have an installation disc, but I did make system recovery discs when I got the PC, & I tried to boot up using it but it didn’t work. I am waiting for a usb keyboard to be delivered tomorrow to see if that works ... I have a usb mouse which I also tried, but it does not work on non-windows screen ... I’ll keep you posted on next steps. Thanks again for the suggestions!
