Hello all,

Not long ago I bought myself a Sony Vaio VPCEB1M0E/WI with a Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) operating system. It worked fine for about 5 months, but then one day I turned it on and this happened...

1. The vaio logo apears, then its followed by a black screen for about a min.
2. Then it sais "windows is loading files...." and a white loading bar loads up quickly two times.
3. Then the microsoft corp loading bar apears, but without the windows logo.
4. Its followed by yet another black screen that lasts for roughly five times longer than the last black screen.
5. Then a 'windows style' background apears and so does the mouse pointer, but the pointer is bigger than usual, asif the screen is zoomed in.
6. It then stays like this all day.

I've spoken to people from sony via online chat, and they've given me options like "press F8/F10 when you see the vaio logo" etc...The screens that came up provided me with different options, but every option i choose i end up with the laptop telling me "Recovery tools are being launched. please wait."
So I wait...and in the end it just tells me it failed.

Any help would be much appriciated, I'm going away soon and I'd love my laptop to be working as I tour the UK.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan & welcome,

We need to establish if this fairly new laptop is it still under warranty....
If so you are best advised to keep chasing up the support that, I understand, is duty bound to be offered.
