Solved My Pictures Icons

All my picture files (jpegs) are displayed with a generic icon showing a lake with mountains in the background. How can this to show the actual picture?

Refer to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/295-folder-options-open.html and ensure that the option Always show icons, never thumbnails is unchecked as shown.

If you are only having this issue with .jpg or .jpeg image files and not with any other image files (ex: .bmp), then you could download and merge their file extension from the list in the tutorial below to restore their default associations to fix this.
