Solved my screen saver stopped working

Normally set to photos and the other day it wasn't working but still set a usual. I mean I haven't changed it in months. I've checked and it's still set, I've shut down, run virus scan, disc cleanup, What's up? anyone have an idea or can help me?

You mean Desktop Backgrounds? Screen savers are outdated now. Keep it disabled.

Rightclick empty area of desktop to Personalize, select an Aero theme, click on Slide Show, at the top browse to the Pictures folder you want, Select All (or edit) and click Save.

gregrocker, Thank you for your reply yes photos mine are from national geographic they spectacular. I m waiting right got it set to one min not working.

Did you disable Screen Saver to use Backgrounds Slide Show in Control Panel>Personalize?

Screen saver not working

gregrocker, thanks again, yes I do run a slide show of pics and you know I took out the mouse plug and the screensaver started, but then my husband was using the computer and he had the plug in using the mouse and the screen saver worked, but not in the minute that it is set for I guess I may just have to live with it now I have tried so many things. this is not a new laptop or mouse and I have always run these pictures on it over a year. why it changed I don't understand. thank you for helping me.

For the third time, turn off the screensaver and use the Background Slide Show.

gregrocker, I disabled screensaver and enabled background slideshow to change every 10 seconds is this what you mean?

Yes but I would be dizzy with it set every 10 seconds. I like mine at 30 minutes which basically means I see a new background approx every time I start up.
