Hello again, sorry for the trouble... But, today I decided to totally format my computer all over again. I have formated my PC with Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit. Everything was going smoothly... I installed my regular drivers, Acronis, Adobe then I connect to the net to do a Windows Update first... At first, it detected 42 Important Updates and so, I have started updating them but when I have done 'downloading & installing' them, it says that I have 42 failed updates and 1 common error code = 80070002. I restarted my PC and go all over again but the same things happened. So, I went online to Microsoft and search for the answers and use their solutions like;

net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv

And I have tried, http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-...system-update-readiness-tool-windows-7-a.html
Installed that and tried updating but it's the same things again. Failed updates for all.

But, completely, no luck... So, I would like to ask what is wrong and can anyone help? Sorry and thanks...

Sorry and thanks for the trouble... I have looked into that site and using that as a last -resort but as of now, I am trying to somethings like...

I splitted the updates into 8 per group and before that, I validate my Windows (not sure if that is any useful)... But, even so, splitting is a wise move. Stupid me and thanks so far!!! Will post results!

Sorry but now it seems to be able to get downloaded and installed but whenever prompted for restarting to complete, I will get Failure configuring windows.

Would it be wise to not to update my Windows? I'm not sure what have I done, I'm using back all the same disc and key for my current PC. Could it be my softwares like Adobe, Acronis or even the drivers (sound, network & display)?

Sorry for my stupidity in my PC.

I would try formatting again. But this time try installing your antivirus first. It's possible for a computer to get infected within just a minute or two after connecting to the internet. Many people on this forum recommend the free Microsoft Security Essentials.

Once your AV is installed, then try your updates. Don't try to install them all at once. Try installing maybe 5 at a time. After a group of 5 is installed check your computer to make sure it's working. If it is, install the next five. If the computer stops working you'll know it's 1 of the last 5 updates. Use your system restore and then install 1 update at a time until you find the one that's causing you problems.

If you can install all of the updates successfully 5 at a time, then start installing Acronis, Adobe, etc (also one at a time, making sure you have a restore point set for each one.)

1337,

Just on the wild hope that you have a virus causing your problem, then follow this draconian procedure which has never failed me regarding getting rid of malware.

________________________________________
ANTI-VIRUS - VIRUS and MALWARE REMOVAL / PROTECTION
1. Download MalwareBytes. Malwarebytes Malwarebytes
2. Disconnect from the Internet.
3. Disable your present antivirus software and firewall.
4. Remove your present antivirus software and firewall.
5. Install and run the MalwareBytes Quick Scan (remove any bad guys). 3min 29secs on my laptop.
6. Reconnect to Internet.
7. Update MalwareBytes.
8. Run malwarebytes quick scan again.(remove any bad guys). 3min 38secs on my laptop.
9. Run MalwareBytes full scan. 16min 8secs on my laptop. With large, full disk ~2hours.
A. Disable your present antivirus software and firewall
B. Remove your present antivirus software
C. Download Microsoft Security Essentials.
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
D. Run Microsoft Security Essentials. Quick Scan - ~8 min on my laptop.
E. Run Microsoft Security Essentials. Full Scan - ~ 1hr 50 min on my laptop.
Now I advise you to uninstall MalwareBytes and only install again when and if you need it.
Why?, you ask. Leaving MalwareBytes installed slowed my system. AutoRuns showed MalwareBytes processes running even after exiting from MalwareBytes.

Everything is possible -additionally to previous advices -uninstall all 3p security software firewall, antivirus, antispyware (if you have of course),uninstall any Download accelerator if you have, uninstall Acronis too.Have you tried "MS Fix it" from post 4 too?

Try also this tool http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/default.htm

(diagnose everything what this tool can.)

Check also all partitions you don't have any hexadecimal folder (the folder name consist with hexadecimal digits) -if you have this folder then delete it.All such kind of folders are directly on partition (not in any folder)

First, one should go to an elevated command prompt in safe mode and delete cbs.log
2nd, run sfc /scannow
3rd, zip the file

Now that being said, Steps one and two should be performed.
Then the FindStr ommand used to pull out only the info needed.
The resulting file can quite easily be uploaded.

Now let's see if I can't find the tutorial giving the FindStr command format needed.

Ah yes, please see option 2 of this tutorial from Brink.

In your CBS.log there is no errors :sarc: ,however partionally it could be explained that it's fresh system...You didn't run SFC tool (there is no [SR] string in your CBS),although I realize hard to expect any corrupted system file in fresh OS.

I suspect it's any problem with driver/hardware compatbility

1.Update drivers for all devices
2.Use verifier tool to diagnose issues with drivers http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html

if this tool force BSOD then please find C:\Windows\Memory.dmp and C:\Windows\Minidump,pack them and attache here (or upload on rapidshare if these files are too big)
