mystery entry in startup

I noticed this in the startup and I am concerned. Can anyone identify this as mandatory or should it be booted out?
Cmd.exe/c start “AMD Accelerated Video Transcoding Device” /min “C:\Program Files (x86)AMD AVT\bin\kdbsync.exe” aml

Looks like some AMD display bloatware. If you don't overclock a video card you have no need for any AMD display items in msconfig>Startup or msconfig>Services, after Hiding All MS services.

In fact you'll get best performance by only allowing your AV and gadgets/stickies if you use them. Clean Up Factory Bloatware
