I've got a major problem.. About two hours ago, I accidentally deleted my .ISO image for Windows 7... Obviously it's not available for download from Microsoft anymore, and a download from somewhere else would take too long.. any way I can undelete it or something? I need the ISO image sometime in the next 3 hours. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

Oh, also, if it helps any, my current OS is Windows XP Media Center Edition. I believe that is the equivalent of Windows XP Professional.

R-Studio might be able to recover it. Whatever you use, do a hash check on the file compared to known value, when you're done.

I didn't "delete" it per se, I was using a program called MagicDisc, and was getting ready to mount the .ISO onto a virtual drive, and I clicked something.. and a prompt came up, showing the name of my .ISO, and asking if I would like to replace it. I wasn't really paying attention, so I clicked yes. Low and behold, my .ISO image was down from 2GB to 4KB. I felt saying "I accidentally deleted it" was easier than this explanation. :/

I have had some good luck using "RECOVER MY FILES".
also the main thing no matter what RECOVERY Program yu use.
is DO NOT USE THE HDD WHERE THE ISO WAS BEING HELD. the use of will over wirte part of it, and the more you overwrite the harder it is to recover. The harder to recover the more it costs to recover also.

From my experience I can recommend trying Advanced File Recovery. It helped me a lot when I needed to recover deleted pictures on my PC. So I hope this program helps you, too.
