Need a modem to send fax

Hi all.

I've a Samsung v510 and i need to send fax from it.
I've a router to connect to internet but i think that i need a modem to send fax right?

If i can't use the router,can you advice me a low cost usb modem (only need for fax)?

There are online services that will fax for you. If it is a one shot fax it might be cheaper than buying a modem.

Can you advice me some faxservice?
I've already search for it but,as user say,the best one seems to be efax,but it require a montly fee.
I only need to send 10 fax in a year.

How do you access the internet now? You need a modem of some sort to do so.

Some routers have modems built in (usually DSL modem), so if you can access the internet now with just your router then that may be your case.

It always helps if we knew the brand and model number of your router.

FaxZero.com lets you send two free faxes a day, maximum three pages long. The service adds an ad to cover page. Alternatively you can choose "pay per fax" service ($1.99 per fax) with no ads and maximum 15 pages per fax.

This eBay page shows lots of choices for an external USB FAX/Modem for as low as 13 bucks. As an alternative, FedEx has a fax service. Or, you can use Kari's suggestion and use an online service.

Unfortunately faxzero say
"At the request of the receiver, faxes cannot be sent to *********." (i'm in italy)


The modem my uncle used to connect internet is an old one,used on a mac g3,connected by phone cable,not even usb,so i think i have to change it anyway.

In addition, if you can find Mail Boxes Etc. (they definitely exist in Rome and Milan, not sure where you are), they can do it for you.
